Since Donald Trump’s second term began, we’ve seen the consequences of
billionaires being allowed to spend unlimited amounts of money to decide
an election.
Elon Musk spent more than $290 million on the 2024 election, and now
Donald Trump is allowing him to dismantle our government and sell it for
parts — all so billionaires like him can pay even less in taxes than they
already do.
We need to return power to the people — which is why last month, I
reintroduced a constitutional amendment to overturn the Citizens United
decision that has wrought havoc on our political system in the first
place.

calling for a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United today?
The second Trump administration may be taking it to a new level, but the
truth is our democracy has been left vulnerable to the influence of
wealthy billionaires, special interests, and corrupt Super PACs all the
way since the Supreme Court’s flawed decision back in 2010.
The next time Democrats are in power, we can’t just talk the talk. We need
to walk the walk and finally take action to end the corrupting influence
of Big Money in our politics.
But in order to get this done, it’s going to take a mass nationwide
movement of working people who are fed up with the status quo.
