John, breaking news:
Donald Trump just signed an executive order to try and dismantle the Department of Education. As an educator, parent, and your representative in Congress, I am taking immediate action to fight back.
Rush in a donation now to help me hold Donald Trump and his administration accountable. Our students and communities deserve better than this.

Since 1979, the Department of Education has been at the forefront of supporting students and educators across the country. The Department protects the civil rights of students, ensures our students with special education needs have the resources they deserve, provides professional development for educators, manages student loan programs, and makes sure that students in low income communities have access to a high quality public education.
All of that work is in jeopardy: Just moments ago, Trump signed an executive order to dismantle the Education Department.
This is unconstitutional. Congress created the Department of Education, so only an act of Congress can dissolve it.
This attempt by the administration to unilaterally dismantle the Department of Education and so many other government agencies is an extreme overreach and completely rejects the balance of power.
Children across the country depend on the support the Department of Education provides and public education should not be a trade off to provide tax breaks to the wealthiest among us.
We must fight back against this illegal attack from the Trump administration.
We will fight them in the courts and Congress to protect the Department of Education and give our students the education they deserve. If you are standing in this fight with me, can I count on your support today to help hold Donald Trump accountable? We must flip the House blue.

Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and Linda McMahon have never had to rely on public education. I refuse to stand by while they dismantle the Department of Education and keep students from the high-quality, public education they deserve.
Thank you,
