Spring turkey season opens March 25
The excitement is building: Spring turkey season is just days away.
For archers, the season opens March 25, with the regular shotgun season starting April 12. All spring turkey seasons close May 31.
A reminder that harvests need to be reported via Telecheck and that resident, landowner and nonresident youth permits are still available.

Commissioners to consider 2025-2026 waterfowl recommendations
At the next Commission meeting, set for March 21 in Ord, Nebraska Game and Parks will consider 2025-2026 waterfowl hunting season recommendations. See the proposed season dates and other recommended changes at the link below.

South-central Nebraska state parks see many improvements
Good things are in the works at several state park areas in south-central Nebraska, such as enhanced day-use and camping amenities. These changes include major fishing upgrades at Windmill State Recreation Area, new electric camping opportunities at Cheyenne State Recreation Area, and new facilities at multiple locations.
