Hi John,
There's no sugarcoating it: our movement is under attack.
Our ally, Greenpeace, just lost a $660 million lawsuit against Big Oil^1.
Energy Transfer, an oil and gas giant that operates the Dakota Access
Pipeline on Indigenous land in North Dakota, sued Greenpeace for their
support of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe's peaceful protests against the
pipeline.
Big Oil is trying to silence the climate justice movement with lawsuits.
But we’re stronger than this. We don’t give up.
Today more than ever, our friends at Greenpeace need to see words of
support and solidarity pouring in from all over the world, to stay strong
in this critical fight. John, can you share a message of
support using your social media accounts now?

You can also write your own solidarity message and share it using your
favorite social media platform. Use #ImWithGreenpeace to help the message
spread.
This is not just about Greenpeace. This case is meant to make people
afraid. It's meant to make peaceful protest against injustice and greed
seem too risky. It threatens everyone's right to peacefully protest — a
right at the very foundation of the climate justice movement.
But we’re not going to let Big Oil bully us into silence. This is why,
John, we must speak up together now. Can you stand in
solidarity with Greenpeace and share a message?

If you don’t use these apps, you can also record your own video to share
your support with Greenpeace on Instagram or TikTok. Start the video with
“I am with Greenpeace because…”, and make sure to tag @Greenpeace and
#ImWithGreenpeace
We’ve proven this time and again: our movement is strongest when we stand
together with our allies. Please take a moment today to stand with
Greenpeace staff, members and supporters, in this difficult time.
Thank you,
Anne Jellema, Executive Director, and the whole 350.org team
