John, at the end of this email, I'm going to ask you to support my team and I as we prepare for the fight to take back Congress, but first, something I've noticed —
Since Donald Trump began his second term in the White House, my team and I have heard from so many of my constituents about their concerns over his administration’s policies threatening the services that so many of us rely on.
But there's one constituent I expected to hear from, but he hasn't reached out: Donald Trump himself, whose Palm Beach residence in my district.
It's no secret why — the Trump Administration, with their wealthiest donor in tow, have been too busy gutting important healthcare programs, firing thousands of federal employees, and actively working to dismantle the US Department of Education.
And in the midst of all the chaos, the President has refused to acknowledge the harm he's causing to his neighbors and fellow members of our community. Let's not forget that in Palm Beach County alone:
1️⃣ Over 350,000 people rely on Medicare to receive the healthcare they need.
2️⃣ Nearly 200,000 residents rely on Social Security to receive the benefits they worked their entire lives for.
3️⃣ More than 30,000 veterans depend on the VA, and the employees that work there, for their benefits.
4️⃣ Over 100,000 students benefited from the millions of dollars in funding that Palm Beach County schools received from the US Department of Education.
Yet, Donald Trump refuses to answer for his policies that put these people in danger.
On the other hand, my colleagues and I have been hard at work — in Congress, in the courts, and in our communities — to protect our constituents from these senseless decisions. However, my team and I cannot deny how much of a target this puts on my back in my next election.
Trump's right hand man, and the slew of other wealthy GOP donors in Palm Beach County, will have their checkbooks ready to support any MAGA extremist who wants to flip my seat. To combat that, we must start preparing for that future now.
