Welcome! This regular newsletter keeps you informed about recent developments, upcoming open and members-only events, and opportunities to engage with SVN members and the wider SVN community. We’re serious about continuing to strengthen the connections in our community and this newsletter is an essential part of our commitment.

** SVN Members Supporting Each Other
------------------------------------------------------------

For decades, the SVN community of values-driven business leaders have led the way in showing that success comes through collaboration, supporting each other, and sharing best practices and experiences. During these challenging times in our communities and the economy, SVN members are coming together in community to discuss challenges to their businesses, share strategies for navigating these times and more. Read on to learn about some of these efforts!

** Members Helping Members: SVN Mutual Aid Circle
------------------------------------------------------------

A group of business leaders, facilitated by SVN Board Members Rose Penelope Yee and Josh Knauer, have been meeting every other week to discuss the business impacts (and opportunities) of these turbulent times.

Based on the incredibly positive response and outcomes from these meetings, we invite you to help us create a new SVN member benefit—the SVN Mutual Aid Rapid Response Team! Building on SVN's nearly 40-year tradition of peer support in growing values-based businesses, the idea is to offer specialized assistance to members facing urgent business challenges. Whether you have pressing questions about capital and investments, marketing dilemmas, legal crises, or simply need emotional support, help is just a call away within our community of experienced business leaders. It's like the 1:1 Expert Meetings we used to have at our gatherings, but more on-demand.

This is a member-driven initiative at its formative stage, so we need interested members to join us in building on this idea. Our next meeting of the SVN Mutual Aid Circle will be will be Thursday, March 27.

All SVN Members are welcome to join and will receive an email invitation. If you are not a member but could benefit from this sort of support and/or perhaps offer your expertise, please consider joining SVN ([link removed]) so you can participate in this and our many other programs!

** Where Your Money Sleeps at Night: Values-Aligned Business Banking
------------------------------------------------------------

A fascinating online dialogue recently occurred where members shared ideas about socially responsible banking, highlighting banks that support local communities, clean energy, Indigenous growth, and ethical businesses while steering clear of institutions tied to fossil fuels or harmful industries. It all started with a simple question from one business owner who wanted to know where others had good experiences with values-aligned business banking.

The community responded with many recommendations based on their experiences, balancing impact with business-friendly tools/features. Some guides for finding values-aligned banks that were mentioned include:
* Green America’s Better Banking Guide ([link removed])
* Rainforest Action Network’s Banking on Climate Chaos Report ([link removed])
* Mighty Deposits ([link removed]) - analysis of where banks invest money based on public data
* Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) ([link removed])
* Fossil Free Funds ([link removed])
* Bank for Good ([link removed])

SVN Members are experienced responsible business leaders who love to share tips and ideas like this with each other. Join in the conversations on our exclusive member-to-member communication channels via email and WhatsApp!
