Louisiana’s coast is disappearing—but you have the power to help shape its future.

The state’s Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) has released its Annual Plan for Fiscal Year 2026, outlining how billions of dollars will be invested in coastal restoration. This plan determines which critical projects move forward—and right now, they’re accepting public comments.

Why does this matter?
This is a crucial year for coastal restoration. After months of uncertainty, Louisiana has the chance to advance major projects—including the Mid-Barataria Sediment Diversion, one of the most significant efforts to rebuild our vanishing wetlands. But strong public support is needed to ensure these projects stay on track.

Take action now—before the March 22 deadline!

Make your voice heard by submitting a comment to CPRA. This is an important time to be on the record in support of coastal restoration projects that so many concerned scientists, community leaders and other local stakeholders have helped advance.
