Friend — Netanyahu has shattered the ceasefire, and Gazans are paying the price.
Israel has resumed its ruthless bombing campaign of the Gaza Strip and sent ground forces across the border to reoccupy Gazan territory.
Hundreds of Palestinian civilians have already been killed, adding to the staggering, devastating Palestinian death toll at the hands of the Israel military’s indiscriminate violence over the last year and a half.
The decision to break this ceasefire and revert back to a status quo of death and destruction lay solely at the feet of Netanyahu and his government.
They have made it clear that they aren’t interested in peace, they aren’t interested in saving Palestinian lives, and they certainly aren’t interested in a long-term end to Israeli occupation, ethnic cleansing, and legal apartheid in Israel, Gaza, and the West Bank.
And as this violence continues, so will the flow of US bombs and military supplies to the Israeli military. Bombs that have been used to maim and kill women and children, day after day.
That’s why we’re doing everything we can to rally support for Congressional action to stop Israel’s bombardment and bring back the ceasefire. We’ve seen more and more leaders join the side of peace — now is the time to keep up the pressure.
