This is a time to listen, to act, and to mourn.
Dear Friend,
June is a month that means a lot to us—both marking Pride and Immigrant Heritage Month. As such, we normally view this time as an opportunity to celebrate the crossroads of our mission.
Nevertheless, Immigration Equality has decided to postpone our Digital Drag Brunch, originally scheduled for this upcoming Sunday, June 7.
At this time, we believe the nation should be focused on justice for Black Americans. Below is a list of organizations working for racial justice that our team has been donating to. If you are able to, we invite you to join us in donating to one of these institutions:
* The Audre Lorde Project ([link removed])
* Black Lives Matter ([link removed])
* Campaign Zero ([link removed])
* Color of Change ([link removed])
* NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, Inc. ([link removed])
* The Okra Project ([link removed])
We still intend to celebrate Pride and Immigrant Heritage, just a little bit later this month.
Thank you for understanding, and for being a part of our community.
Sincerely,
Sidney Jackson
