As Democratic leaders flounder, Bernie and AOC are giving them a clear playbook on how to respond to Trump and Musk’s nonstop attacks. 

Every day, it becomes even more obvious what Trump and Musk are doing: taking a hacksaw to our government, slashing Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security — all so they can enrich themselves and give billionaires another round of massive tax breaks.

Outrage is building as millions across the country are hit hard by Trump’s shock and awe campaign. So NOW is the moment Democrats have to get out of their Capitol Hill bubble, connect with communities impacted by the chaos, and FIGHT BACK. 

Bernie and AOC are doing just that, going directly to red states and swing districts where Republican members of Congress are facing massive pressure not to let Trump slash Medicaid, free school meals and more. And it’s working — they are attracting thousands who are hungry for a way to reject Trump’s war on the working class and stop the Oligarchy.  

But as we saw last week, FAR too many Democrats are failing to meet this moment. The Democratic base is getting INCREDIBLY frustrated, which is why AOC’s name keeps getting floated as a possible primary challenger against Schumer — she’s leading by example and showing the rest of Congress what fighting back actually looks like. 

As Our Revolution’s Executive Director Joseph Geevarghese told Vanity Fair, “To fight a false populist, you need a real populist.” And AOC and Bernie are showing the rest of the Democratic party how it’s done.
