A Cautionary Tale
 
We all like to think our money is safe in the bank. After all, that's why we put it there, because we've been told over and over that it's way safer than stuffing it in our mattress.
 
But as many of us have come to realize, it actually isn't as safe as officials want us to think it is.  Government confiscation of your savings can happen anywhere, at any time. 
 
Here's a first-hand account of such an event that occurred in 1990. Let it be a warning to all of us.
