This is a challenging time, John, for so many reasons. But despite the obstacles 2020 is throwing our way, we have seen Southwest Washingtonians come together and put each other first. From stepping up and checking in on our neighbors, helping to ensure our food banks have the volunteer power needed, and peaceful community gatherings to have voices heard.

Thanks to our community, our campaign was still able to hit our May fundraising goal thanks to folks like you who stepped up and pitched in whatever you could. That’s why I wanted to personally follow up to say thank you.

With your help, we’re building a grassroots campaign to bring positive change to Southwest Washington this November. We may be going up against an incumbent with the backing of the GOP behind her, but we have each other – and that’s powerful.

The stakes of this election couldn’t be higher or more clear. Especially as this pandemic continues, we’re witnessing individuals, families, and our communities suffer due to the lack of affordable health care and the high cost of prescription drugs. And instead of doing something to fix it, my opponent and her party are actively working to further dismantle our health care system as we speak.

It’s all the more reason I want to represent Southwest Washingtonians in the nation’s capital, so I can fight for the legislative solutions that will help our communities come out stronger than ever before.

Again, thanks for anything you were able to contribute to our campaign last month and over the last 11 months since launching. Let’s keep the momentum going – we’re going to need it to win and flip the 3rd this November.

Thanks again and stay safe,

Carolyn
