In less than two months, Donald Trump has already inflicted unmeasurable chaos and harm on our country and democracy.

In just the past week, Republicans passed Trump’s budget plan (which will slash veterans’ benefits, affordable housing, and more), cut funding for the Department of Education, gutted the funding for public media – and most recently called to impeach a federal judge who ruled against him.

And more keeps coming each and every day.

We can’t ignore how unprecedented – and downright scary – these times in our country are right now.

But there are steps we can take to fight back and protect our democracy from Trump this week:

→ Attending in-person or virtual town halls. Check your town or county bulletin for the week, see what events are taking place, attend if you can, and keep the pressure on.

→ Call or write your local, state, and Congressional representatives (both Democratic and Republican) to make your voice and concerns heard.

→ Donating to Democrats like Rep. Zoe Lofgren who are leading the resistance against Trump in Congress.
