On March 13th, I got a call with shocking news: the IRS revoked insider David Nelsen’s network access—just days after he spoke out to me.
As a Tax Examining Technician, David revealed the truth about the IRS’s broken system: “We can’t do anywhere close to what the American people think we can.” He exposed their outdated, unintegrated systems that handcuff honest workers while you, the taxpayer, suffer. “We’re basically handcuffed,” he told me, risking everything to speak out.
Despite potential risks, Nelsen is determined to shed light on the issues plaguing the agency. “I’m not afraid of losing a career,” he said, adding, “I’ll fall on the sword if it means I can help the American people and help everyone else at the IRS who are doing their jobs.” |

In all of my journey, I had never seen such a loving household as with IRS insider David Nelsen. He did this to set an example for his kids, to “protect others, protect family, protect strangers,” and to “do the right thing.” |

Yet the deep state retaliated. After his exclusive interview with the Citizen Journalism Foundation, they cut his access. When I pressed IRS Chief of Media Relations Karen Connelly for answers, she said, “We can’t comment,” and hung up on me.
