Set your alarms! Join us Wednesday, March 26, at 3 p.m. ET for a new episode of Ask Dr. Jill.

In this episode, "Sleep and Mental Health," AFSP Senior Vice President of Research Dr. Jill Harkavy-Friedman takes questions about sleep with psychologist Tina R. Goldstein, Ph.D., who is the Pittsburgh Foundation Endowed Professor in Psychiatry Research at the University of Pittsburgh. The episode will explore what anyone can do to facilitate better sleep, signs someone may not be getting enough sleep, and more.

Dr. Goldstein is an AFSP research grantee, Scientific Advisor, and Research Grants Committee member. Her research aims to better understand risk factors for suicide among adolescents in order to improve prevention efforts, and she has a particular interest in studying the ways in which sleep health affects mental health and suicide risk.

Questions explored during this important discussion may include:

- What’s the relationship between sleep and mental health –– and more specifically, between sleep and suicide risk? (Can poor sleep put someone at risk for suicide?)
- What can someone who struggles with suicidal thoughts or behaviors do in terms of their sleep health?
- What are some tips anyone can use to facilitate better sleep?
- What are some signs that someone may not be getting enough sleep?
- Are sleep problems a symptom of a mental health struggle like anxiety or depression?

Make sure to tune in Wednesday, March 26, at 3 p.m. ET on Facebook or YouTube Live @AFSPNational. We can't wait to have you there!
