Mayor Muriel Bowser ordered a citywide curfew for the District of Columbia from Wednesday, June 3, at 11:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 4.

During the hours of the curfew, no person, other than persons designated by the Mayor, shall walk, bike, run, loiter, stand, or motor by car or other mode of transport upon any street, alley, park, or other public place within the District.

The curfew imposed by the Mayor’s Order shall not apply to essential workers, including healthcare personnel and working media with their outlet-issued credentials, when engaged in essential functions, including travel to and from their essential work.

** On Yesterday's Primary Election

Councilmember McDuffie was out safely visiting with residents at voting centers during yesterday's primary election. Unfortunately, some District residents had to wait upwards of five hours to vote, which Councilmember McDuffie told frustrated voters was "completely unacceptable ([link removed][UNIQID]) ." During the day yesterday, Councilmember McDuffie spoke with the Chairman of the Board of Elections to express his frustration and will continue to monitor this situation so that we do not experience similar issues in November.
