As we slept soundly on Saturday night, the Trump Administration was hard at work — sending planes full of dangerous illegal aliens to prisons in El Salvador.

According to the White House, there were 261 criminal illegals deported:

• 137 criminal illegals deported via the Alien Enemies Act of 1798
• 101 criminal illegal Venezuelans removed via Title 8
• 21 criminal illegal Salvadoran MS-13 gang members
• 2 criminal illegal MS-13 ringleaders, “special cases”

Some of the crimes on their rap sheets include sexual abuse of a child, kidnapping, robbery, and aggravated assault on a police officer. 

Removing these dangerous criminals off of our streets and deporting them out of our country is exactly what the American people voted for in November. Yet a rogue, liberal judge is attempting to stop and even reverse President Trump’s lawful actions.

Hours after President Trump invoked the Alien Enemies Act to target members of Venezuela’s Tren de Aragua — a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization with close ties to the Nicolas Maduro regime, U.S. District Judge James Boasberg quickly ordered the Trump Administration to halt flights removing these monsters from our country. The Alien Enemies Act of 1798 allows natives and citizens of an enemy nation to be deported without a hearing, and the law has been invoked during the War of 1812, World War I, and World War II.

Judge Boasberg erroneously placed a 14-day restraining order on the Administration’s use of the Alien Enemies Act, ordering “any plane containing these folks that is going to take off or is in the air needs to be returned to the United States however that is accomplished.”

The White House and the Department of Justice confirmed these criminal illegals were already mid-flight in international airspace by the time this activist judge issued his absurd ruling.

Keep in mind, Joe Biden blatantly violated immigration laws by orchestrating an illegal invasion of our country. Yet a judge wants to stop President Trump from invoking a law on the books to deport criminal illegals?

Unbelievable is an understatement.

Liberal politicians and the left-wing media have piled on, opposing President Trump’s commonsense move to keep Americans safe. Time and time again, the Left sides with violent criminal illegals. Yet President Trump and my Republican colleagues and I are working to rid our communities of these monsters. 

While this matter will play out in forthcoming hearings, my friend and fellow conservative, Congressman Brandon Gill (R-TX), has already started drafting articles of impeachment against Judge Boasberg. I fully expect that the Trump Administration will succeed based on merit, yet Congress cannot allow activist judges to usurp President Trump’s Article legitimate II authority.

As you know, I’m currently leading articles of impeachment against Judge McConnell, who weaponized his power to block the Trump Administration’s temporary freeze and review of federal funds. Several other colleagues, including Reps. Eli Crane (R-AZ) and Andy Ogles (R-TN), are leading the fight against other rogue judges legislating from the bench as well.

It’s simple: Liberal judges cannot unilaterally block lawful presidential actions over the entire country.

Make no mistake, this is a battle for the safety of our homeland and the future of our Republic. Please know that I fully support President Trump’s actions to keep Americans safe, and I will continue to back articles of impeachment against activist judges abusing their power to obstruct his legitimate Article II authority.

Last Tuesday, several of my conservative colleagues and I took to the House floor to applaud President Trump’s historic action to secure our borders and protect the American people. From ending catch-and-release policies to terminating the taxpayer subsidization of open borders, the Trump Administration continues to undo the Biden-Harris Administration’s radical immigration agenda. For example, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) recently repurposed Joe Biden’s CBP One app, which facilitated mass illegal entry into our country, as the CBP Home app in order to allow illegals to self-deport to their original homes. Border Czar Tom Homan and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem continue to track down, detain, and deport illegals refusing a one-way ticket home. During my remarks, I also highlighted how our Northeast Georgia community has been devastated by illegal alien crime, as well as thanked President Trump for his work to prevent these tragedies from impacting additional families throughout our great nation.

Last week, the Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce held its eighth annual Healthy Hall Awards to recognize healthcare professionals making a difference in North Georgia. A few of this year’s winners include Northeast Georgia Health System’s Mary Martin (DNP, MBA, RN, CENP, CPHIMS) for Healthcare Education Award, Longstreet Clinic’s Margaret Alisa Davis (MD) for Physician of the Year, and Northeast Georgia Medical Center’s Green Tower for the Community Impact Award.
