Hi there,

A few weeks ago, We The Action launched the Public Service Legal Response Center to mobilize lawyers who want to help federal workers access legal resources. We are so grateful to the 500+ lawyers who have already signed up to support this effort!

If you are interested but worried you don’t have the right expertise, we can assure you that there will be roles for everyone who wants to help. This week, we added an intake group for lawyers interested in conducting short conversations (~15 minutes) with federal employees to help identify potential next steps and appropriate resources to support them. You will be able to choose when and how often to schedule these conversations. Lawyers from any practice area or background are welcome to sign up — everyone will receive training and support.

To get started, complete the Representing Federal Employees training, now available on-demand. After the training, we encourage you to join the Public Service Legal Response Center and sign up for a group that matches your interest and expertise.

The Public Service Legal Response Center will serve as a central hub to connect lawyers who want to assist current or former federal workers with opportunities to help. Lawyers will provide a variety of types of assistance to these public servants, from intakes and general guidance to direct representation in appeals or legal proceedings. Join today ahead of the kick-off in April.
