Moments ago, the Minneapolis Police Department arrested all four officers in connection with George Floyd’s murder.
While we are glad that this is an important step towards obtaining justice for George Floyd --
there is much more work to be done.
We cannot sit back and wait for the next unarmed Black life to be extinguished by the police --
we have to take action now.
The only way we can protect Black lives from police brutality is by defunding the police and reinvesting in resources for our communities. We must reallocate resources earmarked for over-policing to the education, employment services, and health care we need and deserve.
We must act like Black lives depend on it because they do. Join us by lending your voice to the movement and standing with us to make a change.
