Folks —

Extreme House Republicans are leaving Illinois farmers out to dry.

They’ve sat by, loudly supporting Donald Trump’s sweeping spending cuts — some seeking out special exemptions for their own districts behind closed doors — all while crucial USDA grants remain frozen in place.

This leaves American farmers without the hundreds of millions of dollars in critical support they count on to maintain their operations. Now, tens of thousands of farms are on the hook for a multitude of unforeseen costs.

Before the funding freeze, there was already an urgent need for a stronger and more resilient farm safety net. But by falling in line with the Trump administration, extreme Republicans have directly contradicted the needs of their constituents, their districts, and family farmers.

Folks, they’ve put billionaires first and farmers last, but Trump’s chaos in Washington won’t distract me from fighting back.

Illinois farmers grow the food on our tables and enrich our economies. As a member of the House Committee on Agriculture, I’m fighting to ensure they have a seat at the table. I can’t stay in this fight without this team’s support, though.

So friend, can you chip in $5, $10, or whatever you can so I can continue my work for IL-13 and our farmers?
