Dear John,

We urgently need your help to raise £443,540 to save one of the world’s most threatened cloud forests.

In western Honduras, vulnerable forests are at risk of being lost forever unless we act now. With your support, we can help our local partner, AESMO, protect 91 hectares (225 acres) of vital land before it’s claimed by deforestation.

A stunning pair of Resplendent Quetzal, an iconic species of the Honduran cloud forests.

The Trifinio region is a biodiversity hotspot, home to extraordinary wildlife like the Critically Endangered Cerro Pital Salamander (Bolitoglossa synoria), the Golden-cheeked Warbler (Setophaga chrysoparia) and the Margay (Leopardus wiedii). It also provides crucial clean water for local communities. But this fragile ecosystem is under siege from high-altitude agriculture, cattle grazing, and forest fires.

By supporting our Save the Cloud Forests of Honduras appeal, you will help enable AESMO to:
* Purchase and protect 91 hectares (225 acres) of fragmented forest.

* Employ three rangers for the next three years to safeguard this land, ensuring its long-term protection.

* Preserve clean water sources for surrounding communities who rely on these forests for drinking water and agricultural use.
