UPCOMING WEBINARS ON EEO LAWS AND WORKERS' COMPENSATION IN THE TIME OF COVID-19
The Women’s and Fair Practices
Departments will be conducting a series of 2-hour informational sessions on how EEO laws, including the ADA and Rehabilitation Act, continue to apply during
the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, the webinars will cover how these EEO laws
do not interfere with or prevent employers from following the guidelines and
suggestions made by the CDC or state/local public health authorities about
steps employers should take regarding COVID-19. The next webinar in this series will take place TOMORROW, Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. EDT. Click the Register Now button to sign up and for additional dates and times.
We're also continuing to host a webinar
series related to workers' compensation. COVID-19: Federal Employees & Workers' Compensation is a 90-minute webinar led
by AFGE Workers Compensation Specialist Joe Mansour. He will review how
members can qualify and apply for workers’ comp if they become ill, and what
locals can do to help ensure members’ safety.
The next workers' compensation webinar is available on Friday, June 5, as well as Friday, June 12.
