Dr. Mehmet Oz has called abortion "murder" and said that decisions about reproductive health should be between "a woman, her doctors, and her local political leaders." Now Donald Trump wants him to be in charge of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), one of the largest federal agencies.

If he gets confirmed, Oz could easily unwind the enforcement of the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA), which requires hospitals to provide emergency medical care, including abortions when necessary to save someone's life.

Oz has already had his confirmation hearing and now we're rushing to mobilize our members in key states to contact their senators to oppose Oz's nomination.
