Over the past several months, we’ve spent a lot of time thinking about the work ahead and what’s next. Today’s unprecedented challenges demand an unprecedented response and we are committed to ensuring that this work continues.
For more than two decades, the Clinton Foundation has aspired to build a world where everyone has the opportunity to create better tomorrows for themselves, their families, and their communities.
Our vision for the Foundation’s future includes the expansion and revitalization of the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock and the growth of our programming to accelerate solutions on today’s most pressing issues through the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI).
As we share in this report, in 2024 we saw how bringing together diverse and often unlikely partners from business, government, and civil society can be a practical strategy for delivering outsized impact across the United States and around the world:
The Clinton Global Initiative continued to work with partners to identify, amplify, test, and scale what’s working around the globe — targeted solutions that can make a meaningful difference where it matters most. Last year’s Annual Meeting resulted in the launch of more than 175 new Commitments to Action, taking on climate, health, the economy, women’s rights, and humanitarian efforts worldwide. As we look ahead to mark CGI’s 20th anniversary in September, the CGI model has changed the way the world looks at philanthropy and social good. Most importantly, while the thousands of new projects and programs launched through CGI have positively impacted 500 million lives around the world, they have also provided a powerful roadmap for how we will continue to address the world's greatest global challenges today, tomorrow, and far into the future.
The Clinton Presidential Center celebrated its 20th anniversary, spending the year focused on how leadership, citizenship, and service are noble and important pathways for civic participation. Looking to the future, we know the Clinton Center is uniquely positioned to bring people together through innovative bipartisan programs and partnerships that will help support the next generation of public servants. We are committed to expanding and revitalizing the Center to serve as an institute for learning, civic engagement and inspiration for generations to come. We’re also proud to share that the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce reported that the Clinton Center has catalyzed nearly $4.9 billion in economic impact for the Little Rock region — a figure that is only expected to grow as we solidify plans in the years ahead.
Presidential Leadership Scholars is marking its 10th year as a first-of-its-kind, bipartisan program. Through the years, more than 530 American leaders from all walks of life and at pivotal points in their careers have worked together, across ideological divides, to find common ground and create solutions for the challenges we face. In 2024, 60 new Scholars joined the program’s ninth cohort. Because of the program’s success bridging divides among us, we created a leadership series for high school students modeled on the Presidential Leadership Scholars program.
Too Small to Fail celebrated its 10th year of impact, continuing to innovate in the field of early childhood development. Together with partners, they started new work with Hollywood to raise consumer awareness on the impacts of climate change on children’s health, and expanded their “Talking is Teaching: Talk, Read, Sing” early literacy campaign across Pennsylvania.
The Overdose Response Network continued to drive solutions in the fight against the U.S. overdose crisis. Since launching, the network has distributed 890,000 doses of naloxone, installed 3,500 Overdose Aid Kits in churches, schools, convenience stores, and community groups, and has trained 280 faith leaders to support recovery efforts in their communities.
The Clinton Health Access Initiative has reached more than 29 million people in 125 countries with lifesaving medications, diagnostics, vaccines, and other health tools. In 2024, CHAI’s lifesaving work continued to bring innovative, data-driven solutions to some of the world’s toughest health challenges — including screening one million women for cervical cancer, helping Cambodia achieve their first-ever month with zero reported cases of malaria, and establishing 400 new medical oxygen plants across nine countries.
The Alliance for a Healthier Generation, a nonprofit children’s health organization founded by the Clinton Foundation and the American Heart Association, continues to work with thousands of U.S. schools and youth-serving organizations to help children lead healthier lives. To date, 31.3 million children are benefiting from increased access to nutritious foods, high-quality physical activity, improved social-emotional skills, and tobacco-free environments.
The gaps between what the public sector can provide and what the private sector can produce seem to be growing bigger each and every day. The work we do here will continue to help fill those gaps. Whether we’re launching targeted initiatives that test new solutions or expanding proven programs that have transformed millions of lives, we must work together to keep putting people first and building a better future.
Of course none of this impact would be possible without the extraordinary engagement of our community of partners, including generous support from philanthropic institutions, private enterprise, and grassroots supporters.
As always, we thank you for being a part of this work.
