This week, the Department of Education announced that they are planning to cut 50% of their workforce. This is just the latest, most devastating move in Donald Trump’s all-out war on education.

The Department of Education is responsible for providing vital support to low-income students, ensuring fair access to educational resources, and protecting civil rights in schools across the country. In Colorado alone, the Department serves 1,903 schools, 55,000 teachers, and over 881,065 students.

Now, Trump and his billionaire friends want to gut those resources to line their own pockets. Their goal is to silence teachers, censor curriculums, and strip away essential funding that helps our kids succeed. It’s a direct attack on the future of our children. And it must be stopped.

Diana grew up in a family that believed in the power of education to lift people up. As a proud graduate of Denver's South High School (Go Ravens!) and the daughter of a teacher, she won’t sit idly by while Trump’s destructive policies harm Denver public schools.

Alongside 19 other states, Colorado has joined a lawsuit to fight back against this reckless move. But this fight is far from over.
