My colleague Abdulkarim Santuraki, who is the IRC's Deputy Director of Field Management in the occupied Palestinian territory, sent me this devastating message:
"The physical and mental health impact of this on our colleagues and clients cannot be underestimated, especially after more than a year of relentless war, forced displacement and blocks on humanitarian aid.
These attacks follow more than two weeks of aid being prevented from entering into Gaza by Israel, compounding critical shortages of medical supplies, food, clean drinking water and adequate shelter. The U.N. has reported that child malnutrition cases have doubled in northern Gaza as a result."
Children and their families who are facing crisis in Gaza and around the world are counting on us. Please rush your emergency donation now for families in crisis.

Right now, every child, every person in Gaza is in need of humanitarian assistance.
The IRC has been operating lifesaving programs in Gaza. Together with our partners, we have been providing nutrition screening, treatment, and essential health care. We have been helping to ensure access to sanitation and hygiene, while delivering food, critical medicines and supplies.
Also, our teams have been enhancing protection for women and children, providing mental health and psychosocial support to help families cope with severe trauma, and advancing early childhood development so children can grow and thrive.
To prevent further humanitarian catastrophe, the IRC urges that the ceasefire is immediately resumed, and Israel allows for the unfettered flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza. A ceasefire is the best way to protect Palestinian lives and allow for the release of the remaining hostages.
Thank you, شكراً
Elias
