Dear John, |
As the historic AJC Virtual Global Forum 2020 approaches in just under two weeks, June 14-18, we are delighted to announce the first few speakers and sessions in our world-class lineup! |
Virtual Global Forum attendees will be addressed by several world leaders, including: |
His Excellency Benjamin Gantz, Alternate Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Israel, will discuss the most pressing challenges and greatest opportunities facing the Jewish state. |
His Excellency Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary General of the Muslim World League, will speak about his historic visit to Auschwitz earlier this year, accompanied by AJC, as well as the state of Muslim-Jewish relations. |
Additionally, we will host several fascinating debates on some of the most pressing issues facing America, Israel, and the world, including: |
“The Future of the West Bank: Two Israeli Perspectives,” a discussion of whether Israel should extend its sovereignty to parts of the West Bank, featuring Member of Knesset Merav Michaeli (Labor) and Permanent Representative of Israel to the United Nations (1997-1999) and veteran Israeli diplomat and current President of the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs Dore Gold. |
“The Hate Speech Debate: Should Free Speech Be Limited?”, a conversation on how democracies should grapple with the challenges posed by hate speech, featuring John Marshall Harlan II Professor of Law, Emerita, at New York University and President of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) (1991-2008) Nadine Strossen and President of the Association for Accountability and Internet Democracy Dan Shefet. |
As a reminder, the full Virtual Global Forum program will be available from the comfort of your home and free of charge. While we hope you will join us for the entire program, you may sign up for as many programs as you are able to attend virtually. |
