Virginia is the last state in the South with full reproductive freedom—but that could change if we lose in 2025.
Holding the line isn’t enough, friend.
As the last stronghold of reproductive freedom in the South, we know what’s at stake. While neighboring states have faced cruel abortion bans — some with no exceptions for the most extreme circumstances — our Democratic leaders have protected access to care.
But we have the opportunity to codify abortion into our state constitution if we get a Democratic governor in office and expand our majority in the House of Delegates.
If we elect a Democratic governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, and expand our majority in the House of Delegates, we have a real shot at doing more than just defending abortion rights, we can enshrine them into Virginia’s constitution. That means lasting protections, no matter who’s in office. It means a firewall that extremist Republicans will never be able to tear down.
