In this new documentary [[link removed]], Daniel Greer explores the fraudulent activities that have come to define the Texas Lottery. The Lottery was supposed to be a game of chance, a way to fund public education and a harmless form of entertainment. Allegation: House Stalling Ban on Social Transitioning Some in and around the Texas Capitol fear House leadership is trying to quietly kill legislation that bans the social gender transitioning of minors. Brandon Waltens has the details [[link removed]].

At issue is the Vulnerable Youth Protection Act by State Rep. Steve Toth (R-The Woodlands). It would create a civil liability on individuals who cause or contribute to the social transitioning of a minor.

The legislation has been sent by Speaker Dustin Burrows (R-Lubbock) to the House Committee on State Affairs, a move that some are arguing could be an attempt to stall its progress. The committee is known as a "catch-all," with its chairman—Ken King (R-Canadian)—considered hostile to reforms favored by social conservatives.

Toth's measure was filed amid growing national and state concerns over social transitioning in schools. A recent controversy at Bellaire High School in Houston, for example, led Gov. Greg Abbott to order an investigation into the issue. Cindi Castilla of Texas Eagle Forum said [[link removed]] the legislation will go a long way toward “protecting children from the transgender agenda.” University of Texas Bans Drag Shows on Campus Following the lead of the Texas A&M System, the University of Texas has now officially banned drag performances on its campuses [[link removed]], citing compliance with state and federal laws regarding the use of taxpayer-funded facilities.

The UT System decision follows a letter Tarrant County Judge Tim O’Hare sent last week, who urged the university to ban drag performances. O’Hare cited President Donald Trump’s recent executive order prohibiting federal funds from being used to promote gender ideology.

"Our public university facilities, supported by taxpayers, will not serve as venues for drag shows. Our institutions will not sponsor them. If the Board of Regents needs to take further action to make this clear, we will do so." – UT System Regent Kevin Eltife [[link removed]] Irving Residents Say ‘No’ to Las Vegas Sands’ Casino Gambling Plan Irving residents are saying “no” to casino gambling in their city, but local officials are saying “yes.” Erin Anderson reports [[link removed]] that the city's Planning and Zoning Commission voted 5-4 to fast-track recommending approval of Sands’ casino plans to the Irving City Council despite heavy opposition.

Casinos are not legal in Texas, but Las Vegas Sands is hoping lawmakers will grant them a government-enforced monopoly to operate without competition in North Texas. The Irving City Council is expected to consider the issue on Thursday.

Councilman Luis Canosa brought the city’s fast-track casino rezoning plan to the public’s attention after it was discussed during a council meeting in late February.

Despite the company being called "Las Vegas Sands," it does not operate any casinos in Nevada. Instead, the company currently operates casinos in China. Sands recently created a $15 million center at the University of Nevada to promote the Chinese government. Houston-area Arrests Made From Investigation Into Illegal Abortion Clinics Joseph Trimmer reports [[link removed]] individuals accused of performing unlawful abortions in the Houston area have been arrested. One of those arrested is an illegal alien.

The charges are related to the operation of Clinica Waller Latinoamericana (in Waller), Clinica Latinoamericana Telge (in Cypress), and Latinoamericana Medical Clinic (in Spring). According to the attorney general’s office, unlicensed individuals masqueraded as medical professionals in the clinics.

Texas law holds abortionists, but not their clients, criminally responsible for unlawful procedures.

"Abortionists haven’t given up their fight for Texas; they’ve gone online and underground. God made every child in His image. That’s why preborn babies killed in illegal abortions deserve justice." – John Seago [[link removed]], Texas Right to Life Houston Teacher Gets Probation for Indecency With a Child A former Houston Independent School District teacher pleaded guilty [[link removed]] to the charge of indecency with a child.
