Dear John,
A reminder that registration is open for our Leadership Connection Series. We kicked the series off last Thursday with ALOK, writer and performance artist, and our very own Vivian Topping discussing anti-transgender legislation. If you missed the live conversation you can still watch it here.
Our communities continue to mobilize in support of ending racist police violence, facilitating mutual aid, and the complexities of organizing in the time of COVID-19. Please join us for two great sessions relevant to the hard work we are all doing in the communities we call home.
Everytown for Gun Safety: Building Online Communities
June 8th 2:00 - 3:30 pm cst
While we are staying home and staying safe we can still be growing and engaging our volunteer teams. Through a distributed organizing model your teams can still advocate and thrive. Join us to hear about this organizing model and get tips on how to host a successful virtual meeting, develop strong relationships with volunteers and help them into leadership all while connecting virtually.
Mobilize: Digital Organizing and Advocacy in a Time of Social Distance
June 8th 2:00 - 3:30 pm cst
Kit Rosen, Partnerships Manager at Mobilize, will run through the trends she and her colleagues have seen as organizers move exclusively to digital organizing and advocacy in the time of social distancing. Look forward to a discussion around high-level strategy and best practices — participation will be highly encouraged!
Both of these sessions are FREE and open to the public. Thanks for your support and we’ll see you there.
Warmly,
Diana González
