Giving information like this to unauthorized individuals is not only unprecedented—it’s unlawful. As the richest man in the world, Elon Musk isn’t used to being told ‘no,’ but let’s be clear: No one is above the law.

That’s why I’m taking action, along with 18 other attorneys general. We just filed a lawsuit to defend your right to privacy, our Constitution, and essential funding that millions of people count on.
