Trump is signing executive orders so fast it feels impossible to track them all, John.

But here’s one we can’t afford to ignore: An executive order to ban new offshore wind leases in federal waters and put existing clean energy projects under review.

If Trump gets his way, offshore wind projects across the East Coast — including in Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Virginia — could be shut down, taking hundreds of thousands of jobs with them.

Let’s be real: Trump’s “drill, baby, drill” agenda was never about lowering inflation costs for the American people. It’s about sabotaging clean energy to keep us reliant on fossil fuels for decades to come. He’s fast-tracking drilling, boosting oil exports, and making sure his Big Oil donors keep raking in record profits — all while everyday families pay the price.

Don’t let Washington off the hook — Congress has the power to act. Here’s what they must do:

✅ Fund clean energy. Lawmakers can direct funding to wind, solar, and other renewable projects that create jobs, lower costs, and move us toward energy independence.

🚨 Block Trump’s illegal stalling tactics. His administration is already trying to withhold Congressionally approved funds for renewables. Congress must act legislatively and, if necessary, in the courts to stop this power grab.

🔎 Hold Trump’s fossil fuel allies accountable. Urgent oversight is needed to expose and prevent Trump’s handpicked officials from gutting clean energy programs behind closed doors.

If we don’t push back now, Trump will succeed in gutting clean energy when we need it most.
