Last month, I laid out a plan for the Iowa Democratic Party’s future called Forward: Victory 2026. In this plan, there are several components meant to guide us to Democratic electoral success next fall.

But today I want to focus on the heart of Forward: Victory 2026: Organizing. If you’re in a rush and know the importance of grassroots organizing to winning elections, will you chip in $25 today to help fund IDP’s organizing efforts?

There is no winning without reaching voters, plain and simple. And in Iowa, it’s crucial that we keep our organizing efforts ongoing — even in “off-years.”

County parties and volunteers will be holding caucuses over the next couple months to begin the work of organizing our communities for 2026. We need to build an army of volunteers in all 99 counties to help our candidates for Governor, US Senate, Congress, State Legislature, and the county courthouse.

Let me be clear: Every conversation with every voter counts. We need to build trust between voters and their candidates, and that only happens through consistent communication.
