I was proud to join my Democratic colleagues this week and take a stand against Musk’s unprecedented government influence. We protested alongside 1,000 other people in front of the Treasury Department, demanding checks on Musk’s power.
Unelected billionaires have no place in government. Especially when they are granted illegal access to our sensitive information and share that with their acolytes.
It’s clear Trump, Musk, and their cronies are determined to undermine democracy and our rule of law. Musk thinks he can decide if you or your loved ones can get your Social Security checks, or get care under Medicare. This is NOT how our democracy works.
That’s why my Democratic colleagues and I are doing everything in our power to make our democracy work correctly for the American people. We’re introducing legislation to stop these unlawful acts, supporting lawsuits and meeting and communicating with our constituents and allies to fight back against the GOP’s harmful far-right agenda.
