Trump Praises Elon Musk’s
Efforts in Government Efficiency

President Donald Trump is standing firmly behind Elon Musk, expressing strong support for the billionaire’s work in uncovering government inefficiencies.
During a press conference with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, Trump responded to a reporter's question about Musk’s media availability, stating, "Oh, sure. He’s not shy. Elon’s not shy."
The discussion also touched on a recent Time magazine cover featuring Musk at the Resolute Desk in the White House. Trump, who was named Time’s 2024 Person of the Year, joked about the magazine’s relevance but then praised Musk’s efforts in identifying fraud, waste, and corruption, particularly in government spending.
Trump highlighted Musk’s work with the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in reviewing U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) spending, calling the system "fraudulent" and riddled with inefficiencies.

On February 8, 1922, the White House made history by embracing modern communication technology—radio. President Warren G. Harding, a strong advocate for innovation, had radio equipment installed, allowing the White House to broadcast messages to the American public.

Later that year, Harding became the first U.S. president to have his voice transmitted over the airwaves, marking a new era in presidential communication. This paved the way for future leaders, from Franklin D. Roosevelt’s "Fireside Chats" to modern-day presidential broadcasts.
