My Democratic colleagues and I just introduced the Taxpayer Data Protection Act, to block Elon Musk and his DOGE team from accessing our private information, like bank account details and Social Security numbers.

This shouldn’t be a partisan issue — who on earth wants an unelected billionaire combing through their most sensitive private information?

We need to make a statement that the American people are with us on this bill and demand that Speaker Johnson hold a vote. If you support blocking Elon Musk’s access to our private data, please add your name as a community cosponsor of the Taxpayer Data Protection Act.

This can’t be a bill that Democrats just introduce and forget about. We need to put relentless public pressure on national Republicans to pass it. We need to fight every day to end Elon Musk’s attempt to rip off American taxpayers until we succeed.
