Dear Friends, As all Americans confront the tragic events of the past weeks, I want to take a moment to thank you for your support of the National Constitution Center. It is central to the National Constitution Center’s mission to convene discussions about the difficult constitutional issues facing our nation so we can learn together in order to form a more perfect union. This Friday, June 5, at noon EDT, we will host a national Town Hall about policing and the Constitution. We will begin with a keynote conversation with Judge Theodore McKee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. The conversation will be followed by a panel featuring some of America’s most distinguished constitutional thinkers and historians to discuss qualified immunity for police officers, the history of policing and protest, and the future of the American idea. I hope you will join this important conversation and will bring your constitutional questions for our panelists. To participate, please sign up here. In the meantime, please continue to educate yourself about the Constitution by checking out our recent programs, such as our Town Hall on Plessy v. Ferguson, a conversation with state Attorneys General, our discussion on how to restore trust in American institutions, and a podcast on the Supreme Court and presidential subpoenas. All of us at the National Constitution Center are here to learn with you by continuing to convene these urgently important constitutional conversations in the weeks, months, and years ahead. With appreciation, Jeff Jeffrey Rosen President and CEO STAY CONNECTED ‌ ‌ ‌ National Constitution Center | Independence Mall, 525 Arch St, Philadelphia, PA 19106 Unsubscribe [email protected] Update Profile | About Constant Contact Sent by [email protected] in collaboration with Try email marketing for free today!
