I have good news and bad news
Good news, bad news

John,
I have good news and bad news.
The good news is the trial for Officer Brad Lunsford began on Monday,
February 3rd.
That means as I’m writing this email this brave officer is finally getting his
chance to clear his name in court.
The bad news is we must come up with $10,000 to ensure we have the funds to
cover the trial expenses.
As a patriot who backs the blue, I'm asking you to donate $35 or more in the
next 24 hours.

It's outrageous that Brad has even been charged in this case.
He faces a charge of voluntary manslaughter for saving his partner's life
from a suspect armed with a knife who was resisting being detained and
violently threatened their lives.
As they tried to subdue him, the suspect grabbed Officer Arbogast's taser,
yanked it free, and pointed it directly at him.
Brad had no choice -- it was the suspect's life or his partner's life. He
drew his pistol and fired, killing the suspect and saving Officer Arbogast's
life.
It was an act of heroism -- but because the cop was white, and the suspect was
black...it instantly becomes a felony to a Soros-backed prosecutor. Now Brad
Lunsford is facing 11 years prison.
Let that sink in. 11 years in prison -- locked away from his wife and young
children -- for following his police training and saving his partner's life.
I hope you can see why I'm asking you to donate $35 or more right away to help
fund Brad's case.

You see, trials are expensive.
* Those attorneys we've been paying hourly are suddenly on the case 8+ hours
a day for as long as the trial takes.
* The expert witnesses required to put on a solid defense come with hefty
price tags.
* And of course, there's travel and lodgings for our officers and their
families -- who want to be there to support their loved one.
It's no small undertaking to pay for someone's legal defense. Here at the Law
Enforcement Legal Defense Fund we're blessed to be able to do this for wrongly
accused officers because of the generosity of folks like you.
But trials put a huge stress on our budget -- which is why I'm urgently
turning to you for help.
Can I count on you to donate $35 or more right away?

Knowing we can count on folks like you makes it possible for LELDF to say YES
to wrongly accused officers, like Brad, who need our help.
Thank you for helping us provide top-notch legal defenses to all our wrongly
accused officers.
Sincerely,
