The Wisconsin Supreme Court election in two weeks is one of the biggest battleground elections of 2025 — and early voting just started today.

Here’s why this race is so important: In the years to come, the court could determine the fate of critical issues like the fate of gerrymandered maps, voting rights, abortion rights, and more.

We’ve endorsed Democracy Defender Judge Susan Crawford — a fair and impartial public servant who has fought for our rights.

But she’s up against Brad Schimel — “an outspoken supporter of Mr. Trump” who “has echoed Mr. Trump’s lies about elections,” according to The New York Times, and who’s in favor of the state’s 1849 abortion ban. 

She’s also facing the full strength of the GOP as a group funded by Elon Musk pours millions into the race and targets voters with deceptive attack ads — the same misleading strategy they used to help elect Trump.

It’s clear: the far right is going all out to try to flip this seat and take back control of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. We can’t let them.

In the final stretch of this high-stakes race, we’re on the razor’s edge between democracy and extremism. Early voting starts today, and we need all hands on deck to elect the pro-democracy justice the people of Wisconsin deserve.
