Dear Friends,

Public engagement is at the heart of our budget process.

To date, I have hosted six public meetings about the FY26 budget - one hearing in Winchester Hall and one town hall in each Council district - because it is incredibly important to hear about your priorities as I make tough decisions about how to invest our resources.

Tomorrow, you have another opportunity to make your voice heard when I convene my final budget public hearing at 7:00p.m. at Winchester Hall at 12 E. Church St. in Frederick.

Make no mistake about it: Between the chaos in Washington and the state’s multi-billion dollar deficit, this year’s budget will be the most difficult in more than two decades - which makes it even more important for you to make your voice heard.
