As our state continues to recover from closures and deaths associated with Coronavirus, I am inspired by the way our community has come together to help each other. I am grateful for each and every supporter who has stood by us during this difficult time, and continues to support the campaign through social media, calls, emails, and so many more ways.

Last week, we saw the first civil unrest throughout our country as a result of the tragic death of George Floyd. Please know that there is nothing good law enforcement despises more than bad law enforcement officers. Those who would tarnish the badge have no place in our world. As the spokesman for the Indian River County Sheriff's Office, I issued statements on behalf of our entire agency, sending condolences to Mr. Floyd's family, as well as ensuring our community that the actions seen on video are unacceptable and not how we are trained.

I have received a number of calls and texts regarding concerns for safety around town. I can assure you that we are actively monitoring these protests both within our community and around the state. We support and have only seen peaceful protests in our area, but are prepared to defend our community.

Lastly, an email was sent earlier today to everyone on our list who will be receiving yard signs next week. If you did not receive two emails from us today, then you are not on our list for a sign. We have a limited time before they are delivered, but if you would like a sign, you can respond to this email and we will add you to the list. We are fully stocked with stickers, shirts, and signs and should have enough for everyone who is still in search of Flowers for Sheriff gear. As an email subscriber, we will be glad to deliver items to you. Just respond to this email with what you need and your address.
