SPEAKER PELOSI TOWN HALL on POLICE ACCOUNTABILITY and COVID-19
We just received news this morning that Speaker Pelosi is holding a telephone town hall today, Wednesday June 3, 2020 at 5:00pm.

To join this town hall, please call in to (833) 261-6164.

If you live in CA-12, you can submit a question for the Speaker when you call in, and we encourage you to do so! Instructions will be repeated copiously before the Town Hall starts. Expect to give your name, ZIP code, and a brief summary of your question. It’s a good idea to write out both your question and your summary of it before you call in, so you can just read them off.

The Speaker’s telephone town halls typically have multiple guest experts, are attended by thousands of callers, and run for an hour, so expect that only a few questions will be selected. Your best shot of getting to ask your question is to stick to this month’s topics:

* racial injustice
* police violence
* police accountability
* the COVID-19 pandemic
* the HEROES Act

Here is the message from Speaker Pelosi:

You are invited to join Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi for a telephone town hall for San Franciscans today, Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.

Congresswoman Pelosi will discuss the coronavirus pandemic and Congress' ongoing response with the Heroes Act. At this moment of immense sadness across America, our communities are grieving for the staggering loss of life from the coronavirus, which we have never seen in our lifetime.

At the same time, we have for too long seen a pattern of police violence, particularly against the African American community, that must be addressed. At this difficult time for our nation, we will also be discussing the murder of George Floyd and the crisis of racial injustice and police brutality in America.

To join this town hall, please call in to (833) 261-6164. You are invited to submit questions for Congresswoman Pelosi. We hope to hear from you!
