[link removed] [[link removed]] Team, last night, I participated in a town hall meeting with workers affected by the Trump administration’s disastrous economic policies.
And the message I heard loud and clear was this: people want leaders who will fight back. And that’s exactly what I intend to do.
That’s why I voted NO on Republicans’ appalling government-funding bill, which cut funding for crucial programs that serve veterans, young families, kids, and more.
It’s why I’m fighting tooth and nail to save Social Security and public schools from DOGE’s attacks.
It’s why I’m getting the word out every way I possibly can about Republicans’ proposed cuts to Medicaid — so that we can exert maximum public pressure on them to abandon their disastrous proposal to strip millions of Americans of affordable health care.
(And, not for nothing, it’s also why I walked out on Trump’s State of the Union — because I have better things to do than listen to an angry, lie-filled rant.)
Team, I can’t promise you that we will win every fight. But I can promise that I will never give up, that I will use the privilege of serving in Congress to stand up for our democracy, and that I will always have the backs of working families when billionaires like Elon Musk come after your livelihood.
