Dear NRDC Action Fund Supporter,
We all have reasons we’re fighting to save the environment.
Stories are powerful. And sometimes, that personal story is the best way to get the attention of our lawmakers and show them why we’re asking for them to act on our behalf — and what we stand to lose if they don’t.
One of my favorite jobs as an organizer is helping people tell their stories. That’s why I’m so excited for our special activist workshop next week!
NRDC Action Fund March Activist Call: Letter to the Editor Storytelling Workshop
7 p.m. EDT / 4 p.m. PDT
Tuesday, March 25

When you join, we’ll give you the tools and guidance you need to share your story about how the Trump administration’s anti-environmental agenda is affecting you and your community, and how to do so through a letter to the editor to your local paper — publications we know our lawmakers are reading.
Here’s my story: Strong emissions standards mean cleaner air for my friends just outside Chicago who live near power plants and refineries, and whose families struggle with asthma. Clean water standards mean safer drinking water for my niece and two nephews in Indiana, and addressing greenhouse gas emissions now means they'll know a future with fewer devastating impacts of rising temperatures and worsening storms.
Increased pollution poses an unacceptable risk to those I love — and as a member of our activist community, I’m sure you agree. Together we can fight every day for the healthy future we all deserve.
The news out of this administration can feel overwhelming. Last week, Trump’s EPA administrator Lee Zeldin announced plans to close all of the EPA’s environmental justice offices and repeal or weaken dozens of crucial standards that address the climate crisis and protect public health.
Make no mistake about it: these moves will make our communities sicker and accelerate climate change. We won’t just see higher energy bills — we could see more asthma and heart attacks, more toxins in drinking water, and more extreme weather events.
Our members of Congress need to hear about what we’re fighting for — and why we’re counting on them to fight for us at home and in Washington.
Join us on March 25 and find out how to make SURE your voice is heard. Reserve your spot now.
Onward,
Jacob Jones
