It’s official: I’m launching my re-election campaign for Attorney General of California today!
If I have your support, will you pitch in to become a founding donor of our 2026 campaign now?
It’s been the honor of a lifetime to serve as Chief Law Enforcement Officer for the last four years, fighting for justice and progress for all, and protecting public safety across our state. As I shared last month, I’m dedicated to carrying out this impactful job, especially during these uncertain and concerning times.
Part of this role is protecting the basic rights of Californians and preventing any person, administration, or greedy corporation from trampling on them — lately that’s included Donald Trump and Elon Musk. I’ve already filed eight lawsuits against the Trump administration — ranging from blocking attempts to end birthright citizenship to preventing DOGE from accessing Americans’ private data — and will continue doing so as long as the administration tries to overstep its authority, break the law, and harm people.
Plus, I’m keeping up all of my other important work to make our communities safer, protect working families and consumers from being ripped off, address the climate crisis, create more affordable housing, protect our neighborhoods from gun violence, and a whole lot more. Regardless of who is in the White House, my goal is to keep you safe and keep California on a path of progress and prosperity.
As the son of union members, I’m honored to already have the endorsement of Service Employees International Union (SEIU) California, which represents more than 750,000 workers in our state. Organized labor remains a foundational element of our democracy, and I will continue fighting every day to ensure workers’ rights are upheld and workers across California have a voice at the bargaining table.
I know next year’s election may feel far away, especially with so many challenges facing us each day, here and now. But if we’re going to win this re-election race and keep California leading the way as a role model for the rest of the nation, we need to start preparing today.
We will rise together or not at all. Thank you for your support as we look ahead to 2026.
In solidarity,
Rob
