The Israeli air force recently announced that they dropped a whopping 1,400 bombs on Gaza last December alone. That’s 45 bombs per day. Almost one every half hour. For an entire month.

Those bombs killed numerous children, women, the elderly and many more civilians of all ages -- and our tax money bought those bombs. Now, Donald Trump is sending even more despite the so-called “ceasefire” (which Israel has repeatedly violated).

Benjamin Netanyahu’s brutal war is supposedly on pause but the next time he decides to continue the full-out assault on Gaza, he’ll have all the equipment he needs – because of the US. Netanyahu and his murderous government feel like they have the United States’ permission to bomb the hell out of Gaza -- mainly because they actually do.

If you want an idea of how these new shipments of 2,000 pound bombs will be used, look no further than the recent past. They were used to kill civilians, including children, and destroy most of the homes in Gaza. It got so bad, that even Joe Biden -- who otherwise unconditionally supported Netanyahu’s war -- put a stop to US shipments of these 2,000 pound bombs.

Aside from some bogus statements that paid lip service to ideas we should hold dear, like human rights and self determination, our leaders have completely failed to stop this war and hold the people waging it accountable.

That’s where we come in. We want to make sure that nothing even close to the 1,400 bombs that rained down on Gaza in December ever happens again. Our mission is to make sure that self-identified progressives in Congress actually stand by progressive ideals.
