Friend, you may have seen the news. Over the weekend the administration appeared to rescind protections for two of our newest national monuments: Chuckwalla and Sáttítla. Their future and the future of countless other monuments is uncertain, but one thing is clear: our public lands are at risk, and once these national monument protections are gone, they may be lost forever.

National monument designations were created to permanently protect America’s most important, historic, and majestic places. This action undermines that very promise, paving the way for destructive development, resource extraction, and irreversible harm to these irreplaceable lands.
