Military dogs have been saving lives and serving our nation faithfully for decades.

That’s why it is so important that we celebrate and support our brave military working dogs and their handlers every year in honor of K-9 Veterans Day. During World War II, patriotic Americans donated approximately 20,000 healthy and capable dogs to join the World War II war effort. These furry heroes helped secure an Allied victory — and military dogs have bravely served our military ever since.
