Earlier this week, Elon Musk—the unelected billionaire leading President Trump’s unofficial DOGE office—called Social Security, "the big one to eliminate," and they both are creating the chaos to justify closing it down:

⏱️ They are creating uncertainty about timely Social Security Checks with disinformation.
⚠️ They announced plans to close nearly 50 Social Security offices across the country.
✂️ They are pressuring the Social Security Administration to cut phone services that 73 million retired and disabled Americans rely on.
🥼 They have already eliminated funding for critical impact research on Social Security.
💸 Their irresponsible tax plans risk draining Social Security faster than ever imagined.

John, Social Security isn't a Ponzi scheme like Elon Musk says. It's a long-standing federal program that working Americans pay into to support their retirement, their spouses, and disabled community members, and now it's up to us to keep it that way.

Our grassroots network activated fast—bringing news stations, civil rights organizations, and hundreds of people out to protest within 24 hours—and this is the type of organizing we're going to need over the next few years to protect our benefits and our rights.
