Social Security and Medicare are a lifeline for so many Americans – my neighbors, my parents, and our communities depend on it. 

And Donald Trump promised to leave Medicare and Social Security untouched. When Elon Musk claimed otherwise — even calling Social Security a Ponzi scheme and “the big one” to eliminate — Trump was forced to backtrack.

Social Security is NOT a Ponzi scheme. It’s a commitment to ensure our elders can retire with dignity. Millions of veterans and seniors depend on these programs, and over the next two years, the Social Security disability backlog is expected to grow by 2.5 million more people. 

And we see right through it. Republicans aren't after these programs because of "fraud" or "waste." They're after Social Security and Medicare because it's the only way they can pay for tax cuts that will overwhelmingly benefit the rich and powerful. 

People like... Elon Musk and Donald Trump.

These cuts are unfathomable to the folks who depend on these programs. I’m sick of the GOP playing games with people’s lives. And I know you are you too.
